Forrest Larue Vereen, 22, of Paoli, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home; 963 Hwy 98 East, Danielsville, GA from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Following the visitation, a celebration of Forrest's life will be held at Camp Kiwanis, 2613 Old Wildcat Bridge Road, Danielsville, Georgia 30633 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Survivors include his mother, Julia Vereen; his father and stepmother, Garrie and Windy Vereen; his brothers, Colin and Everett Vereen; his sister, Jane Hunter Vereen; his grandparents, Colonel and Mrs. Charles Larue Webb of Enterprise, AL; Joyce B. Purvis of Canton, GA; his aunts, Tammy Webb of Hull, GA; Kathleen Vereen and Jamie Purvis of Woodstock, GA; his uncle, Kyle Vereen of Athens, GA, and numerous other family members, relatives, and friends. He was adored, respected, and will be sorely missed by all family and friends throughout the Madison, Clarke, and Oglethorpe areas. Flowers will be accepted at Lord and Stephens in Danielsville. In lieu of flowers, donations will also be accepted by the Madison County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, an organization Forrest believed in and supported.
