The Canton Police Department continues to investigate the death of the two men who were discovered on Tuesday afternoon.
The bodies were found behind the Harmon Center on Marietta Road just south of the Hickory Flat Highway/Highway 140 intersection.
The identity of one man, a 39-year-old from Guatemala, has been determined, but police are not releasing his name until they locate and notify his family.
Police have not yet determined the identity of the second man, as he had no ID on his person, and no missing person report had been filed.
No signs of foul play were detected, police said, and both bodies were sent to the GBI crime lab to determine a cause of death. Police said the cause of death could be determined by the end of the week.
Detective German Rivas said the recent cold weather could have been a contributing factor, but noted a final determination won't be made until an autopsy is complete.
"It looks that way," he said of the probable cause.
Investigators are also waiting on the toxicology reports for the two men.
"We have received information that they were alcoholics, but we don't know whether they had alcohol in their system and won't know until the toxicology test is done," Rivas said, noting those reports may take several weeks to be processed.
